Laser Welding is a very clean and accurate process for joining multiple pieces together. The utilization of precision fixtures which are designed and built at Reich Tool & Design, Inc. allows the joining process to be performed with extreme consistency. Laser welding is a reliable, consistent and cost-effective process for joining thin-walled components, as well as solid machined components together.
RTD can finish the welded components including blasting for surface consistency, Ultrasonic Washing to ensure the highest level of cleanliness, Citric Passivation for corrosion protection and Laser Marking for product identification and traceability.
At RTD we find that our laser marking process results in a more permanent marking with long-term legibility that’s very resistant to wear when it is used with a compatible base material.
Our precision laser equipment is capable of marking on flat surfaces as well as 360° cylindrical surfaces by utilizing a rotary chuck system.
